The inaugural Saffa Stunt Awards took place on 18 January 2025, marking a major industry milestone for South Africa’s Stunt and Action industry. 

This first-of-its-kind event was a huge success that united industry professionals. The goal was to honour remarkable talent and the hard work of Stunt Performers, Stunt Coordinators, Stunt Riggers and Fight Choreographers who have dedicated their lives to the craft of Action in film. 

Nine different awards categories were featured in the event, including “Hardest Hit” all the way to “Best Fight Choreography”. The winners proudly received their unique Saffa Trophies along with prizes from event sponsors. 

Media Film Services gave an incredibly generous amount of R100 000 in gear vouchers to category winners, encouraging and equipping professionals in their own passion projects. 

Saffa Stunt Awards is seeing growing support and is looking forward to an even greater participation in the next ceremony. As they prepare for 2025, Saffa is calling on all stunt performers, action crews, and industry professionals to be part of this exciting journey.
