KAYE-ANN WILLIAMS TO LEAD NETFLIX'S AFRICAN SCRIPTED CONTENT TEAM

Netflix has announced the appointment of Kaye-Ann Williams as the new Director of Scripted Content, where she will lead the sub-Saharan Africa scripted films and series team with a focus on African productions, according to a report by Bizcommunity.
Williams joins Netflix from Primedia Group, where she served as Vice President of Content.Â
Her extensive experience includes a notable tenure at M-Net, where she was head of local productions and independent films, as well as a brief role as the head of Scripted Series and Movies at Prime Video & Amazon Studios, concentrating on South Africa.
In her new position, Williams will oversee the team responsible for developing and creating original African films and series for the global streaming giant, reporting directly to Ben Amadasun, Vice President of Middle East & Africa Content at Netflix.
