RAW Film Festival is on its way back to Khayelitsha! 

Submit your short films for the 2nd Edition of the festival, hosted once again by the Isivivana Centre in Khayelitsha.

Submission Notes & Restrictions 

-Your film must be under 30min in length.

-We award films in the fiction or non-fiction documentary categories, however we welcome all forms of film including experimental, art and animation projects.

-Your film must have been completed after 1st January 2022. 

-Your film must have been made in an African Country, or have a key creative role held by a South African (director, writer, producer, or lead actor).

-If your film includes any other languages than English, it must be submitted with English subtitles.  

-No films promoting hate speech or violence to others, or of a pornographic nature will be considered.

-The RAW Film Festival team has final say on whether any submission will be considered for selection.

Submissions are open from 23th April 2024 and close at 17h00 on 14th June 2024.

All submissions will be notified if they have been accepted for the festival in July 2024.

This year’s RAW Film Festival will take place at the Isivivana Centre in Khayelitsha on 3rd – 10th August 2024.
